website Wednesdays: shopbop

Afternoon ladies! Excited to share with you yet another great stylish website that offers free shipping and returns, shopbop.com.

I happened across this website while looking for a wedding dress last summer. I was about to buy this Alice + Olivia dress off of shopbop, trying to switch up the traditional wedding dress for a more casual, can-wear-it-again dress but in the end opted for an Vera Wang. So thankful that she came out with an affordable line at David’s Bridal!!!

Apart from the great benefit of free shipping and return, giving you a chance to try on the clothes before you commit to your purchase, this website also offers videos on certain items. Similar to ASOS.com, you can watch the item of clothing in action before deciding whether or not you want it.

The cons to this site is that it’s pretty pricey. This site mainly features designer items meaning it costs a lot more than forever21. Sometimes they have some more reasonably priced items in their sale section. But if you’re like me, I like to just come here and browse and get some ideas for my wardrobe but not really buy anything.

Below are some items I find inspiring from this site:

Derek Lam

Philip Lim

Theodora & Callum (how many of you are inspired by Project Runway winner, Anya Ayoung Chee’s style?

Another cool feature of this website is the different “boutiques” they have one of them being the wedding boutique. So if you’re frustrated with the styles of wedding dresses that are available in most stores, you may be able to find something more unique. Just click on their boutiques tab then select “wedding boutique.”

What fashion/style websites have you happened across that you like? Let me know so I can share the goods!
